Altr is the world's first luxury collectible marketplace exclusively transacted through cryptocurrency.
We created a liquid-inspired identity system and applied it to a crypto-commerce experience. This involved blending web best practices with emerging features of Web 3.0—fractionalised transactions and secondary market trading.
We created a liquid-inspired identity system and applied it to a crypto-commerce experience. This involved blending web best practices with emerging features of Web 3.0—fractionalised transactions and secondary market trading.
One of our major challenges on Altr was the complex product purchase system. With seven purchase flows, user accounts, secondary markets and seller pages, we needed to build a robust design system.
Developing the new purchase flows required deconstructing client-provided wireframes to understand the functionality of diverse elements and carefully observing user behaviour to ensure effective design decisions.
Developing the new purchase flows required deconstructing client-provided wireframes to understand the functionality of diverse elements and carefully observing user behaviour to ensure effective design decisions.
Continuously designing and refining the new features based on internal and client feedback necessitated constant build and evaluation of components for CMS-based application and technical feasibility to ensure alignment with our product roadmap. Maintaining up-to-date documentation was equally vital to keep all stakeholders informed and the system well-maintained.
Outcome
Within 48 hours of the new feature launch, Altr successfully sold a Ferrari F40 supercar for $2.5M and issued digital proofs of ownership for each collectible sold through the site.
